Bison feels both fortunate and proud to be part of the modern letterpress renaissance, or Small Press Movement, that keeps this beautiful handcrafted art alive.
Both letterpress printing and book arts require old-world skill, attention to detail, an eye for problem solving and patient perseverance. We love what we do, and continuously work to refine our skills.
We are especially proud that the modern letterpress movement is driven by an environmental ethic. As manufacturers, we feel a tremendous responsibility to reduce our waste stream, implementing greener alternatives to outdated toxic practices.
Several of our printing presses are hand-fed and foot-powered, requiring no electricity to run, and giving us a healthy workout in the process.
